Kimmo Timonen 2015 Philadelphia Flyers Hockey Retirement Night Card

Placard from hockey great Kimmo Timonen s retirement night in Philadelphia in 2015

Kimmo Timonen has been involved in professional hockey since the early 1990s, and he made his NHL debut for the Nashville Predators during the 1999-2000 season. His output and leadership even as a defenseman earned him the captain C of the team in 2006, and those tremendous qualities carried over to his tenure on the Philadelphia Flyers when he arrived via trade in 2007. During his time with the team, he reached several career milestones, including scoring his 100th goal, earning his 500th career point, and playing in his 1000th NHL game. Kimmo is widely respected for his toughness on the ice by both his teammates and fans, and he culminated his stellar career in a Stanley Cup victory with the Chicago Blackhawks in 2015! He retired from the NHL in Philadelphia later that year, and the Flyers honored him on the ice.
